Judy is a retired early childhood intervention specialist who always wanted to paint.  After a 31 year career in special educaton, she now spends half the year in her home state of Montana and the half in Yuma, Arizona.  She is a long time watercolor artist but has expanded her repetoire to include Chinese Brush Painting and acrylic mixed media.  She has attended a number of workshops with watercolor masters, Lian Qahn Zhen, Sterling Edwards, Judy Greenberg and acrylic artists in the Santa Fe, NM area:  Sandra Duran Wilson, Nancy Reyner, and Cody Hooper. 

She teaches two watercolor classes each winter season in Yuma, one at Cocopah RV and Golf Resort which begins the first week in December extending through the end of March, and the other at the Pioneer Museum in Wellton, AZ.   She also teaches acrylic mixed media workshops, alcohol inks and both acrylic and resin pour art at Cocopah and at Wellton.  She is a member of the  Mountain Shadows Artists Association and serves as the webmaster for the Mountain Shadows website.
