Gay, from Washington State, is a long time oil painter.  She is the immediate past president of Mountain Shadows Artists Association and a member of the Mountain Shadows board.  She is also a member of the Valley Arts of Clarkston, Washington.  Gay has done tole and decorative art painting previous to beginning with oil and pastels.  Her favorite subject is the landscape.  She has attended two annual Decorative Artists Conventions held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and enjoys the interaction of painting with others.  

Gay has displayed her works in the summer of 1999 at Valley Arts, the spring shows held in Yuma in 2001, 2002, and the Fine Arts Show in 2003, where she won Honorable Mention for a pastel of Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona.

Her work hangs in homes in Yuma, Arizona, Washington, Idaho and Nevada and in her own home.
