Connie Oberg's childhood interest in art began as creative doodles and sketches.  Art classes in her late teens unlocked a passion she didn't know existed.  Blossoming artistic expressions were interrupted, however,  for several decades as she focused her energy on her roles as wife and mother.

With the freedom of early retirement and relocation to the southwest, Connie took advantage of local college art classes and private coaching led by talented artists.  Inspired by the striking southwest landscapes of local painters, she quickly refined her craft to the settings and figures she paints today.

Connie embraces the bold use of color in her oil and mixed media painting.  She enjoys venturing across a variety of subjects, but the beauty and magic of the southwest and natural settings remain evident in her work.

Connie's work has been shown frequently in Southern Arizona's "Art in the Garden."  She actively participates in Mountain Shadows Artists Association "ARTrails" and various shows.

Connie divides her time in her art studios in Southern Arizona and Northern Wisconsin, where she lives with her husband, Lawrence.
